الفنان الكبير عبد الرحمن أبو زهرة، اصيب بفيروس كورونا، ويتواجد حاليًا فى المستشفى لتلقى العلاج والرعاية اللازمة.
و قال أحمد عبد الرحمن أبو زهرة، نجل الفنان الكبير إن والده مصاب بكورونا منذ ثلاثة أيام،
وأنه تلقى اللقاح منذ فترة وحصل على الجرعات الثلاثة وآخر جرعة كانت التنشيطية يوم 27 ديسمبر الماضى، وطمأن نجل الفنان الكبير الجمهور قائلًا: الحمد لله صحته فى تحسن شديد ويسير على العلاج بشكل منتظم.
وقد قال نقيب الممثلين الدكتور أشرف زكى، أن الحالة الصحية للفنان عبد الرحمن ابو زهرة مستقرة، بعد أن أثبتت التحاليل الطبية إصابته بفيروس كورونا،
موضحًا أنه يحظى برعاية طبية ، مضيفًا أن النقابة تتابع حالته بشكل مستمر مع الأطباء المعالجين لحالته داخل مستشفى العزل بالعجوزة.
الفنان عبد الرحمن أبو زهرة من مواليد دمياط عام 1934، وحصل على بكالوريوس المعهد العالى للفنون المسرحية عام 1958، وعمل موظفًا فى وزارة الحربية، ثم بعد ذلك عين ممثلًا فى المسرح القومى عام 1959، وأول عمل مسرحى له كان مسرحية (عودة الشباب) لتوفيق الحكيم، وله عدة أعمال فى المسرح منها (أقوى من الزمن، قريب وغريب).
لمع تلفزيونيًا بشدة، و كان من أبرز المسلسلات التى شارك فيها (الملك فاروق، من أطلق الرصاص على هند علام، العميل 1001، سمارة، جحا المصري).

وعلى صعيد السينما شارك فى عشرات الأفلام منها (الجزيرة، حب البنات، بئر الحرمان، الحاسة السابعة)، كما قام بالأداء الصوتى لبعض أفلام الرسوم المتحركة كفيلم (علاء الدين) بجزأيه عامى 1992 و1994، ودور الأسد (سكار) فى فيلم (الأسد الملك) من إنتاج ديزنى عام 1994 النسخة العربية.
